Youth
"If we are to achieve true peace in this world, it shall have to begin with the children."
- Craig Kielburger, founder of Free the Children
The Coalition for Nonviolent Living recognizes the important role of children and youth in social change, and seeks to empower youth to explore nonviolence in their lives. During the 2008 Conference, we will provide a youth-oriented, creative space which will encourage young attendees to explore and realize their unique role in nonviolent social change.
We will accomplish this by providing fun and educational activities by and for youth throughout the conference. These activities will include play-shops, workshops, youth panels, facilitated discussions, youth forums, entertainment, art, and much more, all focusing on the practical and inspirational applications of nonviolence in each area of human life.
